A Dhaka court has sentenced Evaly Managing Director Mohammad Rassel and Chairperson Shamima Nasrin to two years imprisonment in a case concerning fraud.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Partha Bhadra delivered the verdict on Wednesday (29 January).
It also imposed a fine of Tk10,000 on each of the convicts. Failure to pay the fine will result in an additional two months of imprisonment.
