Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus convened with ambassadors from the 27 member states of the European Union (EU).
The meeting started at 12pm on Monday (9 December), said Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Rafiqul Islam.
He stated that, in addition to the 27 EU member countries, the meeting would also include the ambassador of one other nation.
Key agenda items for the discussions include trade and service agreements, tackling challenges posed by climate change, and addressing the pressing Rohingya crisis.
Furthermore, the meeting is expected to feature candid dialogues on the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.
