Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus has called for greater unity as Bangladesh goes through trying times.

He made this appeal while addressing the certificate presentation ceremony for the National Defence Course (NDC) 2024 and Armed Forces War Course (AFWC) 2024, held on Wednesday (4 December) at the Defence Services Command and Staff College Complex in Mirpur Cantonment.

Dr Yunus lauded the remarkable contributions of the armed forces, both in times of national crises and in United Nations peacekeeping missions, describing their role as commendable.

Extending his congratulations to all participants for successfully completing their respective courses, the chief adviser expressed deep satisfaction with the comprehensive curriculum of the NDC, which encompasses critical issues related to national security.

He noted the inclusion of these pivotal topics as instrumental in building a secure and resilient state.

The NDC 2024 saw the participation of 95 course members, comprising 46 members of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, 16 officials from the civilian administration, and 33 representatives from 18 friendly nations.

Meanwhile, 55 officers from the Bangladesh Army, Navy, and Air Force successfully completed the AFWC 2024, showcasing their dedication and expertise in military strategy and operations.

Dr Yunus’s emphasis on unity and collective strength resonated strongly in the current socio-political context, reinforcing the importance of solidarity during testing times.
