The Public Administration Reform Commission is poised to recommend the exclusion of the term "cadre" from civil service terminology due to its negative connotations, said Ministry of Public Administration Secretary Dr Md Mokhlesur Rahman.
Speaking to journalists on Sunday (1 December), following a meeting held at the secretariat, Dr Rahman explained the rationale behind the proposed change.
"The term 'cadre' has acquired a negative perception, and we will advocate for its removal," he stated.
Further details about the reform recommendations are anticipated as the commission continues its deliberations.
