Five people were killed in a head-on collision between a pickup van and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Rangamati-Chattogram highway this morning. One person sustained critical injuries in the accident.
The incident occurred at around 10:30 am on Saturday (26 April) in Chairman Para area of Betbunia Union under Kaukhali upazila, confimed FI Ishak, in-charge of the Betbunia Police Outpost in Kawkhali Upazila.
All the victims were passengers of the auto-rickshaw. The identities of the deceased could not be confirmed immediately.
