Two journalists were appointed as press ministers to the press wings of Bangladesh High Commissions in London and New Delhi.
Senior journalist Akbar Hossain Majumder has been assigned to the Bangladesh High Commission in London in the United Kingdom, said a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.
Faisal Mahmud has been appointed to the High Commission in New Delhi, according to another notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.
Their appointments were made on a two-year contractual basis on Sunday (24 November).
They got appointments to the condition that they relinquish any existing affiliations with other professions, businesses, or roles in government, semi-government, private institutions, or organisations.
According to the notification, the appointments will take effect from the date of their joining.
