International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has instructed the completion of investigations within one month into eight officials, including a former police chief and ex-director of the NTMC, regarding allegations of crimes against humanity tied to the July-August genocide

International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has directed that the investigation into charges of crimes against humanity against eight officials, including a former Inspector General of Police and the ex-Director General of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC), be concluded within one month.

The Tribunal, led by Chairman Justice Md Golam Murtaza Majumder, issued the directive on Wednesday (20 November).

The court also ordered the accused officials to remain in custody during the course of the trial.

Next hearing for the case has been scheduled for 19 December.

Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tazul Islam represented the prosecution during the hearing.
