Popular messaging app WhatsApp faced an outage on Saturday evening, leaving many users unable to send messages or access other features.
Citing Downdetector, a platform that tracks service disruptions, the Hindustan Times reported that over 460 issues were logged by 5:30pm. Of these, 81% were related to problems sending messages.
Some users also reported difficulties in updating statuses, adding stories, or logging into the app.
WhatsApp has not yet released an official statement addressing the outage or its cause.
This marks the second outage of the year for WhatsApp, which previously experienced a disruption on 28 February.
