BNP has confirmed that its extended meeting will be held on Thursday (27 February) at the LD Hall and the adjoining grounds of the Jatiya Sangsad premises.
The party’s office stated that a letter, signed by Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, has already been sent to leaders invited to participate in the meeting.
According to the letter, the event will be held at the LD Hall, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Parliament Members’ Club, and will run from 10 am throughout the day.
Party leaders have been instructed to collect their entry cards from the BNP headquarters at Naya Paltan on 25 February.
Additionally, invited guests have been requested to submit a passport-sized photograph along with their name and designation to the central office by 22 February.
Joint Secretary General Abdus Salam Azad confirmed that preparations for the extended meeting are in full swing, with an implementation committee led by the senior joint secretary general overseeing all arrangements.
The last BNP extended meeting took place on 4 February 2018 at the Le Méridien hotel in the capital.
Attendees of this year’s gathering will include members of the party’s National Standing Committee, advisers to the BNP chairperson, all officials and members of the National Executive Committee, as well as presidents, general secretaries, conveners, and member secretaries of all metropolitan, district, upazila, and municipal committees.
Furthermore, individuals who received final party nominations or initial nomination letters for the 11th parliamentary election on 30 December 2018 have also been invited to attend.
