The High Court has dismissed a petition challenging the validity of the interim government, which assumed office following the Supreme Court's opinion under Article 106 of the Constitution.

It stated that the people of Bangladesh have accepted the interim government as legitimate, thus leaving no room for further dispute.

An HC bench comprising Justice Fatema Najib and Justice Shikdar Md Mahmudur Raji delivered this observation while rejecting the petition on Monday (13 January).
