On 20 September 622, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) completed his pivotal migration from Mecca to Yathrib, later renamed Medina, marking a transformative moment in Islamic history.
This event, known as the Hijra, signified the beginning of the Islamic calendar and the consolidation of the first Muslim community under the Prophet’s leadership.
His arrival in Yathrib not only fostered unity among the diverse tribes but also laid the foundation for a thriving Islamic society, built on principles of justice, compassion, and faith. Medina soon became the heart of the growing Islamic state, where the Prophet’s teachings flourished.
