Chief Justice pays tribute at National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar

The Chief Justice also paid homage to the National Language Martyrs’ Memorial in Dhaka.

The newly appointed Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed paid homage to the martyrs of the Liberation War by laying a wreath at the National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar. 

He arrived at the National Memorial in Savar via road at 7:15am on Monday (12 August). After paying his respects at the martyrs' monument with flowers, the chief justice signed the visitor's book there. 

Subsequently, at 8:50am, the Chief Justice arrived at the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka. There, he laid a wreath in honor of the martyrs of the 1952 Language Movement and also paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in the anti-discrimination student movement.

Judges from the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, High Court Division judges, and officials from the Supreme Court Registry were present during the visits.
