A severe heat wave continues to pass through the Chuadanga district despite rain.

With humidity well over 21%, the highest temperature recorded in Chuadanga was 41.2 degrees Celsius at 3pm on Wednesday (24 April).

Although it rained over the district last night, the temperatures continue to be scorching hot.

According to Chuadanga Meteorological Observatory, the highest temperature of 42.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in the district on Saturday (20 April).

“It rained a little around 1am. There were stormy winds. Rainfall of 1.6 mm was recorded,” said Jaminur Rahman, in-charge of Chuadanga Meteorological Observatory.

He also said that moderate to intense heat is flowing over Chuadanga.

“This heatwave will continue for a few more days,” he added.
