BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has accused Indian policymakers and media personalities of shedding crocodile tears for Sheikh Hasina to secure their own interests, following the ousting of her government.

"India has secured its interests through Sheikh Hasina, and now their policymakers are weeping crocodile tears for the fallen fascist regime," Rizvi claimed while speaking to reporters on Saturday morning during a visit to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery to meet victims of the July uprising.

Rizvi also alleged that India had consistently backed Sheikh Hasina's regime to advance its own agenda.

He also criticized Indian actions, including the reported vandalism of the Bangladesh Mission and the tearing of the national flag. "Such acts are international crimes," he said. "But they have never addressed the brutality and heartless torture inflicted by Sheikh Hasina on the people of Bangladesh."

Rizvi accused Hasina of maintaining power through what he described as a "blood-sucking policy," alleging that her administration relied on violent repression to suppress dissent.

He further condemned India for allegedly hosting Sheikh Hasina and for spreading provocative statements, misinformation, and disinformation. Rizvi urged Indian policymakers and media representatives to visit Bangladesh to witness firsthand the suffering of people under what he called the "brutality of the Hasina government."
