Police have arrested a Dubai-bound passenger with Saudi riyal worth Taka 2.93 crore at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport.
The arrested was identified as Dulal Jamaddar, said Ibrahim Khalil, a public relations officer of Shah Amanat airport.
“Dulal boarded a Dubai-bound US-Bangla Airlines BS-343 flight at 8:15 am on Tuesday. Suspecting his movement, the crew challenged him and seized 9.21 lakh Saudi riyals (worth Taka 2.93 crore,” said the official.
Later, the passenger was handed over to the airport customs.
