BNP leaders and activists gathered at the central office in Nayapaltan and its surrounding areas to participate in the rally marking "National Revolution and Solidarity Day".
The rally had been scheduled to commence at around 2:30pm on Friday (8 November) from the party's central office in Nayapaltan.
Upon visiting the Naya Paltan area, it was observed that BNP leaders and activists from various wards of the Dhaka metropolis and nearby districts were arriving in small processions to join the rally.
Crowds of leaders and activists were seen across Naya Paltan, Kakrail, Fakirapul, and nearby alleys, with some enthusiastically chanting slogans.
The rally route will span from Naya Paltan through Kakrail intersection, Kakrail Mosque, Matsya Bhaban, the Institution of Engineers, Shahbagh, Bangla Motor, Karwan Bazar, and Farmgate, culminating at Manik Mia Avenue.
BNP's acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, will deliver the concluding speech at Manik Mia Avenue.
Prior to the rally, a brief gathering will be held in front of the party’s central office, with BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir inaugurating the rally following Friday prayers in front of the Naya Paltan office.
