BNP Secretary-General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that the current government has no distinct political agenda.

He made the statement during a discussion held on Wednesday (30 October) at the Dhaka Reporters' Unity, commemorating the 17th anniversary of the National Peoples Party.

Mirza Fakhrul stated, “We believe this government does not possess its own political agenda. We also believe that an interim government will effectively utilise its time to swiftly create a conducive environment for a logical election.”
