The Cyber Unit of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) is continuously monitoring online activities to prevent any rumors from disrupting the celebrations of Durga Puja. RAB has expressed its firm stance against the spread of misinformation, emphasizing that they are fully aware and prepared.

These remarks were made by RAB Director General AKM Shahidur Rahman after inspecting security measures at the Durga Puja pavilion in Banani, Dhaka, on Wednesday.

“It is not just the law enforcement agencies that are involved; the 17 crore people of the country are with us. No dishonest groups or criminals will find an opportunity to disrupt our joint efforts,” the RAB DG said.

He informed that RAB’s intelligence operations have been ongoing since October 1 in preparation for the Durga Puja. This year, in addition to the police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Ansar, and Coast Guard, along with armed forces will also ensure safety.

RAB's 15 battalions and the control room at RAB headquarters are actively monitoring various puja pavilions across the country.
