EDOTCO Bangladesh, the nation’s leading telecommunications infrastructure provider, has unveiled its cutting-edge 5G-ready Tower Operation Center (TOC) in Dhaka.
Designed to enhance real-time monitoring and management of telecom towers, the modernised facility aims to optimise connectivity, operational efficiency, and energy use across the country.
The TOC inauguration was attended by Major General Md Emdad ul Bari (Retd.), Chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC); His Excellency Mohd Shuhada Othman, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh; and Sunil Issac, Country Managing Director of EDOTCO Bangladesh, reads a press release.
Speaking at the event, BTRC Chairman Major General Bari highlighted the importance of connectivity for socio-economic growth in the digital age. “Modern technology-driven facilities like this TOC are critical for fostering a sustainable and resilient telecom ecosystem. EDOTCO’s commitment to advancing industry standards and delivering reliable services will significantly contribute to seamless connectivity nationwide,” he said.
Malaysian High Commissioner Mohd Shuhada Othman underscored Malaysia’s pride in EDOTCO’s role in Bangladesh’s digital progress. “With its innovative contributions, EDOTCO has been a key player in the nation’s digital transformation. Bangladesh’s young, tech-savvy population and expanding digital economy position it as a future regional digital hub.
