Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast temporary gusty winds accompanied by lightning and rain or thundershowers in parts of Dhaka, as well as in the Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
Isolated incidents of similar weather are also expected in a few areas within the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Khulna, and Barishal divisions.
The forecast, issued for the 24-hour period beginning at 9am on Sunday (20 April), suggests that both daytime and nighttime temperatures across the country may increase slightly.
In its synoptic overview, the Met Office noted that an extension of a low-pressure area lies over West Bengal and adjoining regions.
Meanwhile, the seasonal low-pressure system is currently situated over the South Bay of Bengal.
