According to her personal physician, Professor AZM Zahid Hossain, who is currently in London, doctors at the London Clinic have commenced a comprehensive health check-up for the Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Begum Khaleda Zia.

The examination began on Wednesday and will span four days, during which she will undergo a series of medical tests, some of which may necessitate a visit to the clinic.

Professor Hossain stated that the doctors will evaluate the test results to determine her readiness for discharge and potential return to Bangladesh. He noted that her physical and mental state is stable and has improved in recent days.

Addressing a recent social media clip of Khaleda in a wheelchair at a London park, he explained that she was enjoying a stroll in the flower garden due to pleasant weather.

The former Prime Minister, 79, has been under the care of specialists Professor Patrick Kennedy and Professor Jennifer Cross since arriving in London for advanced medical treatment on 8 January.

After being discharged from The London Clinic on 25 January, Khaleda has been receiving care at her son Tarique Rahman's residence. This year, she celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with her family in London, including her sons and granddaughters.
