Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman has assured continued support and rehabilitation for those injured during the students-people's uprising in July, urging them to remain hopeful and resilient.

The army chief made this remark while speaking at an iftar and dinner event organised by the Bangladesh Army at Sena Malancha in Dhaka Cantonment in honour of the students injured during the July Uprising.

“You are the luminaries of our nation. You have sacrificed a lot for the country and the people. I congratulate you and assure you that we will always be there for you," he said.

He also urged them not to lose morale.

“We assure you that the Bangladesh Army will always stand by your side and work towards your rehabilitation,” he added.

General Waker-Uz-Zaman highlighted that the army has so far provided medical facilities to over 4,200 injured individuals, and the assistance remains ongoing.
