The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today called upon all not to create sufferings to the people by blocking roads during the holy month of Ramadan in the name of realizing demands.

“In this situation, for the convenience of the city residents, Dhaka Metropolitan Police has requested all concerned not to create unnecessary public suffering by blocking roads during the remaining periods of the holy month of Ramadan,” said a DMP statement.

As Ramadan is underway and the Eid-ul-Fitr is approaching nearer, economic activities across the country increase manifolds along with
mad rush of the people and vehicles, the law enforcers have to face difficulties to manage such huge pressure on the roads.

Apart from this, some vested interest groups have made the lives of the city residents difficult by blocking roads and streets in the name of realizing various demands.

So, the DMP has requested all to consider the overall situation and refrain from blocking roads that lead to create immense sufferings for the city dwellers.
