A fire that broke out at a leather warehouse in Hazaribagh, Dhaka, on Friday noon (17 January) has been brought under control after a 2.5-hour effort.
The blaze erupted at 2:15 pm on the fourth floor of a seven-story building in the Kachabazar area of Hazaribagh.
Twelve fire service units worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames, according to Shahjahan Shikder, an officer from the Media Cell of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
In addition, a platoon of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was deployed to assist in controlling the situation.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, and no casualties have been reported so far.
