Home Affairs Adviser Lt. Gen. Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) today said the government will soon unearth the motive of the seven murders on the MV Al Bakhera ship in Chandpur.
He said this in response to questions from journalists while visiting Christmas celebrations at St. Mary's Cathedral Church in Kakrail in the capital tonight.
Jahangir Alam said one person has been arrested in the Chandpur murder case.
The mobile phone sets of those killed have been recovered from arrestee, he said, adding that the arrestee has confessed involvement with the incident.
The home adviser said all of those who are involved with the murders will be brought to justice.
He said another person who became sick in the ship incident is being given the best treatment.
