The Chief Advisor’s Press Wing has dismissed as false and fabricated a report by India Today claiming that Bangladesh deployed Bayraktar TB2 drones along its border with India. The press wing labeled the report part of an orchestrated campaign against Bangladesh.
A spokesperson from Bangladesh’s Ministry of Defence clarified the matter, stating, “Bangladesh has not deployed any drones, apart from its routine activities, in any parts of the country.”
The controversy arose after India Today published a report titled, “What’s Bayraktar TB2 Drone Deployed by Bangladesh and Is India Prepared?” The article alleged that Bangladesh was using Bayraktar TB2 drones, the same model that played a critical role in Azerbaijan’s victory over Armenia in the 2021 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The India Today report, however, cited no specific sources for its claims and referred to content aired on India Today TV, which also lacked concrete evidence.
