A search committee has been formed to appoint the new chairman and commissioners for the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The announcement was made in a gazette notification signed by Cabinet Secretary Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rashid on Sunday (10 November), following a directive from the President.

Justice Md. Rezaul Haque of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court will chair the four-member committee. The other members of the committee are Justice Farah Mahbub of the High Court Division, Comptroller and Auditor General Md. Nurul Islam, Public Service Commission (PSC) Chairman Prof. Dr. Mobasser Monem, and former Cabinet Secretary Md. Mahbub Hossain.

According to the notification, the committee will perform its duties as specified under Section 7 of the Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman and Commissioner Appointment Act, 2004. The Cabinet Division will provide necessary administrative support to the search committee.
