Former minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, has been freed from jail after being granted bail in connection with four murder cases filed at Khilgaon Police Station.
The bail application was approved by Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan following a hearing on Tuesday (8 October).
Earlier, on Monday (7 October) the court had granted a five-day remand for Saber Hossain Chowdhury in connection with the murder of BNP activist Mokbul.
Shortly after being taken into remand, the former minister experienced a decline in health.
He had pre-existing medical conditions, including heart disease, and has had three stents placed in his heart.
