BNP has no place for individuals involved in creating unrest in the country, said the party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, on Saturday.
"Anyone attempting to cause chaos in the party’s name will be handed over to law enforcement agencies. BNP has no room for perpetrators," said the senior leader during a relief distribution programme for flood-affected people in Lalmai upazila, Cumilla.
Addressing party members, Fakhrul cautioned that internal divisions are being fueled by media reports, which he claims are part of conspiracies by a certain group aiming to undermine the victories achieved by students and the public.
He also expressed support for giving the interim government sufficient time to restore a democratic environment in the country.
