Protesters have set fire to the Awami League's Dhanmondi and Dhaka district offices as Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister the Long March to Dhaka programme of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

The fire at Dhaka district office broke out around 4pm on Monday, spreading to a nearby gas cylinder shop.

Protesters set fire to the Awami League president Sheikh Hasina's office at 3/A Dhanmondi. Demonstrators are currently chanting slogans at the site.

Additionally, the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi 32 has been set ablaze by protesters.

The fire was raging fiercely while demonstrators chanted various slogans.
