The ruling Awami League has cancelled the pre-scheduled mourning procession following the imposition of indefinite nationwide curfew.
AL Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan, in a notice issued on Sunday (4 August), confirmed the cancellation of the mourning programme.
The rally was scheduled for Monday (5 August).
However, the countrywide curfew announcement came from Sunday evening following a wave of deadly violence across the country over demanding the government's resignation.
