13 policemen killed in Sirajganj

A team of Bangladesh Army has dispatched for the scene to rescue the police officials stuck in the police station, said Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

At least 13 policemen were beaten to death in an attack on Enayetpur police Station in Sirajganj on Sunday (4 August).

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal confirmed the news to Bangladesh First today.

He said a team of Bangladesh Army has dispatched for the scene to rescue the police officials stuck in the station.

Meanwhile, another policeman was killed in Mcleodganj, Cumilla, during the clash with protesters.

More than 40 people were killed across the country as clashes erupted between the protesters of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the members of ruling Awami League across the country.
