According to case statement, Lesedi Molapisi, 30, was arrested on January 23 in 2022 at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport along with over 3.145kg of heroin.

A Botswana national Lesedi Molapisi has been awarded death penalty in a narcotics case filled over drug smuggling.

Md Aminul Islam, Additional Metropolitan Session Judge, Court Number-8, Dhaka, passed the order on Monday, said assistant bench officer of the concerned court Milon.

According to case statement, Lesedi Molapisi, 30, was arrested on January 23 in 2022 at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport along with over 3.145kg of heroin.

The accused arrived at the airport on a flight of Qatar Airways from South Africa via Doha.

On the next day, a case was filed against Lesedi Molapisi with Airport Police Station.
