In a bid to bolster economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Qatar, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the prime minister of Qatar.

The bilateral meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Qatari capital on Thursday (24 April), where both sides exchanged views on enhancing the depth and effectiveness of their relationship.

Professor Yunus highlighted Bangladesh’s ongoing political stability and the country's investment-friendly environment, underscoring opportunities for mutual growth.

Earlier in the day, Professor Yunus delivered a keynote address at Qatar University on the theme of building a world of "Three Zeros"—zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero net carbon emissions. In his speech, he called upon young people to take the lead in forming "Three Zeros Clubs" to propel the global movement forward.

He remarked that just five committed young individuals could initiate the formation of such a club, igniting change at the grassroots level and beyond.
