ACC raids Former BB Deputy Governor SK Sur's home, recovers Tk 17.25 Lakh

An ACC team raided his house and recovered Tk 17.25 lakh in cash, as confirmed by a source from the agency

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is conducting a raid at the Dhanmondi residence of former Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Sitangshu Kumar (SK) Sur Chowdhury, who was arrested in connection with a corruption case.

On Sunday, 19 January, an ACC team, led by Director Md. Saimuzzaman, raided his house and recovered Tk 17.25 lakh in cash, as confirmed by a source from the agency.

Earlier, on 14 January, SK Sur Chowdhury was arrested by an ACC team led by Deputy Director Nazmul Hossain, with assistance from the police's intelligence department. The arrest followed a case filed on December 23 for his failure to submit an assets statement. He was later produced in court.
