British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Sarah Cooke, hosted a ceremony on 10 December at her residence to present the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal to members of the Bangladeshi military who participated in the Coronation of Their Majesties, The King and The Queen.

The King Charles III Coronation Medal, a commemorative honour, marks the historic Coronation that took place on 6 May 2023, said a press release.

The Coronation Procession featured approximately 6,000 military personnel from the United Kingdom, Realms, Commonwealth, and British Overseas Territories, showcasing ceremonial splendour and military precision on an international stage.

Among the honourees were 11 Bangladeshi military personnel who contributed significantly to the Coronation events held at Westminster Abbey and other officially recognised ceremonial venues.

The ceremony at the British High Commissioner’s residence was attended by the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division, representatives from the Bangladesh Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as the families of the medal recipients.

Expressing her pride, British High Commissioner Sarah Cooke stated, “I am delighted to present the King Charles III Coronation Medal to the military personnel who represented Bangladesh at the Coronation of Their Majesties The King and The Queen.
