Three students of Islamic University of Technology (IUT) died and at least 15 others injured, after after being electrocuted in a picnic bus in Shreepur, Gazipur on Saturday morning.
The deceased were identified as Muzammel Hossain Naim (24), Mustakim Rahman Mahin (22), and Zubair Alam Sakib (22), said Mymensingh Medical College Hospital Deputy Director Dr. Md. Zakiul Islam.
The incident occurred around 11 am near Udhaikali in the Telhati Union of Shreepur Upazila while the students were on a trip to Matir Maya Resort for picnic in Shreepur from Tongi.
A witness said media that, the bus carrying the students reportedly came into contact with a high-voltage power line causing the tragic accident.
