Thirteen of the fourteen accused, including former ministers, advisors, a retired judge, and a former secretary implicated in the July-August genocide case, were presented before the International Crimes Tribunal, despite plans to produce all fourteen.

The individuals were brought from Keraniganj Central Prison, with Abdur Razzaq absent due to being held in remand for another case.

Heightened security was visible around the Tribunal premises from Monday morning (18 November), as the investigation agency prepared to file for an extension of time for further inquiries related to the genocide case.

The presented accused include former ministers Anisul Huq, Faruk Khan, Dr Dipu Moni, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haq Inu, Shajahan Khan, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Salman F Rahman, Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Kamal Ahmed Majumder, Golam Dastagir Gazi, retired justice Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik, and former home secretary Jahangir Alam.

All of them are currently incarcerated.

On 27 October, a Tribunal bench headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumder, Justice Md Shafiul Alam Mahmud, and Judge Md Mohitul Haque Enam issued the order for their appearance in court.
