Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports has said each federation will give the annual report and audit report to ensure their accountability.
Speaking to the media at the Secretariat today on the occasion of the 100 days of interim government, he also said that if someone commits corruption, it will also be investigated.
"Annual report and audit report will be given to ensure the accountability of each federation. If someone commits corruption, it will also be investigated," he said.
"But several federations are autonomous. So there ibffs no scope for government intervention there."
Following the mass uprising in July-August that ousted Awami League government from the power, the interim government focused on to eradicate corruptions from all sectors including the sports..
Asif Mahmud added that efforts are being made to restructure the federations.
'It's ongoing process. There are complaints against various committees, which are being looked into and measures are being taken," he said.
"Efforts are being made to resolve the crisis and quell the stagnation by forming new committees."
He also said efforts are underway to break the deadlock of country's richest federation Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) by appointing new directors.
