BNP leaders on Tuesday (10 September) sat with its two more political parties including Nurul Haq Nur-led Gana Adhikar Parishad as part of talks to consolidate the unity that was developed during the simultaneous movement.
Another party was Ismail Samrat-led Sadharan Chhatra Adhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad.
The two separate meetings were held at the BNP Chairperson's Gulshan Office.
BNP started discussion with its allied political parties again after the 2nd independence of the country following the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s regime.
After the meetings, BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said they talked to the two parties who were their partners during the simultaneous movement.
During the meetings, they discussed the dream that they see for the future of Bangladesh, he said.
“In the discussion, we have reached a consensus that we will jointly implement the 31-point proposal we (BNP) placed for the reform of the country by forming the national government in future as we unitedly worked in the past,” said Amir Khosru.
The BNP leader said they are supporting this interim government and will do so in the coming fays.
BNP Vice president Barkat Ullah Bulu was present in the meeting.
BNP earlier sat with its allied political parties -- Gonoforum, Bangladesh People’s Party and NAP Bhashani on 7 September and Ganatantrik Bam Oikya, Ganaodhikar Parishad and Nationalist Democratic Movement (NDM) on 9 September.
