Defending champions Bangladesh Under-19 team has secured a spot in the Asia Cup final for the second consecutive time as they defeated Pakistan comprehensively by seven wickets in the semifinal held in Dubai on Friday.

Chasing a modest target of 117, Bangladesh sealed the win in just 22.1 overs with seven wickets in hand. They will now face India in the final on 8 December at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, reports cricfrenzy.com.

Bangladesh's disciplined bowling effort restricted Pakistan to a mere 116 runs. The bowlers kept the opposition batters in check, denying them any substantial partnerships.

Bangladesh’s chase started on a shaky note as they lost opener Kalam Siddique (0) in the seventh over.

Jawad Abrar contributed 17 before falling at 28/2. Captain Azizul Hakim Tamim then steadied the innings alongside Mohammad Shihab James with a 57-run partnership.

James was dismissed after scoring 26 off 36 balls, but Tamim, joined by Rizwan Hossain, ensured there were no further hiccups.

Tamim remained unbeaten on 61 off 42 balls, showcasing his dominance with seven fours and three sixes. Rizwan finished on 5 not out, and Tamim sealed the win with a boundary off the first ball of the 23rd over.

India, who defeated Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the other semifinal, will be Bangladesh's opponents in the final.
