The newly formed National Citizen Party (NCP) will pay homage to the martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Memorial in Savar, Dhaka, on Tuesday morning (4 March).
This will be the party's first formal event since its official launch on 28 February.
Following the tribute at the National Memorial, NCP members will visit Rayerbazar to honour the graves of students and civilians who were martyred during the July uprising, the party announced in a press statement on Monday (3 March).
NCP Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, along with other central leaders, will be present at the event, reads the statement.
The NCP, emerging from the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizens’ Committee, was officially launched on 28 February at a public event on Manik Mia Avenue, in front of the National Parliament.
