The interim government has withdrawn 25 deputy commissioners (DCs) from their posts and transferred them to various ministries and divisions.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Tuesday (20 August) regarding this matter.
The deputy commissioners have been transferred from the following districts: Dhaka, Sylhet, Habiganj, Mymensingh, Magura, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Naogaon, Natore, Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong, Noakhali, Gazipur, Comilla, Moulvibazar, Khulna, Gopalganj, Faridpur, Sherpur, Kushtia, Jhenaidah, Pabna, Bogura, Joypurhat, and Chandpur.
