Saber Hossain Chowdhury, former minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has been arrested in the capital on Sunday.
A team of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested him from the capital’s Gulshan area in this evening, said Md Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner of media and public relations of DMP.
He added that Saber was arrested in specific cases.
The police official, however, did not disclose in which case he was arrested.
Saber was elected Member of Parliament (MP) for several times from Dhaka-9 constituency since 2008.
