Dhaka Int’l trade fair secure Tk400 cr sales, Tk391 cr exports orders

The 28th edition of the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) has sold goods worth approximately Tk400 crore, which is about 15% more than last year's fair sales. Besides, DITF has fetched export orders worth Tk391.82 crore, which is 17.25% higher than last year.

The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) disclosed the information during the closing ceremony of the fair today (20 February) at the fair venue in Purbachal's Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre.

According to the EPB, 304 organizations from home and abroad participated in the fair, including nine from five countries.

State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu addressed the event as the chief guest.

He said, “The Commerce Ministry has launched a program called ‘Ekti Graam, Ekti Pony’” (One Village, One Product). Through the project, we are working to make entrepreneurs in every house.”

The trade fair started on January 21.
