Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is marrying her longtime boyfriend, Actor Zaheer Iqbal, today (23 June) in Mumbai.
The couple will exchange vows at a private ceremony, which will be attended only by their family and close friends.
Ahead of her wedding today, Sonakshi and her family conducted a pooja ceremony at Ramayana, her family house in Mumbai, reports The Hindustan Times.
Sonakshi and Zaheer will have a registered marriage, which will be held at the former’s apartment in Bandra. The couple will then host a party at the celeb-favourite restaurant Bastian in Mumbai. Before the celebrations on Sunday, the couple hosted an indoor party for friends and family on 20 June and a mehendi ceremony on 21 June. The party saw Sonakshi’s parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, also in attendance, reports The Indian Express.
Shatrughan’s presence at the party dismissed all the rumours that he was not happy with the union and was unlikely to not even attend the marriage ceremony.
The gossip took steam when Shatrughan told Times Now that he was “waiting to be informed” about his daughter’s wedding and added, “All I can say is …Nowadays, children don’t seek permission; they simply inform their parents.”
