The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 984 per bhori, setting the new price at Tk1,19,544.
This change will be effective from Monday (20 May), BAJUS announced in a press release this evening (19 May).
According to the new rates, 21-carat gold is now Tk 1,14,109 per bhori, 18-carat gold is Tk 97,803 per bhori, and traditional method gold is Tk 80,8667 per bhori.
The adjustment is due to an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market, BAJUS said.
