State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu has instructed the economic ministers and commercial counselors under the Ministry of Commerce to find new markets for the country's exportable products, including jute and leather products.
The state minister also urged the commercial councilors to work proactively to ensure a stall for their respective countries at the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) 2025.
Titu conveyed these instructions during a meeting held today using an online platform, which was attended by commercial councilors working in 23 countries, read a press release.
The state minister for commerce emphasized the need for exploring new markets to facilitate the export of new products and to strike a balance between exports and imports. He urged the councilors to promptly address any barriers, including tariffs and non-tariff obstacles.
Moreover, Titu instructed all councilors to compile a list of 10 import and export products and promptly submit it to the ministry. He emphasized the crucial task of identifying the demand for specific products in various countries and urged them to take proactive measures to facilitate their exportation.
