Commerce ministry working to promote export trade: Titu

A total of 184 businesspersons have been honoured with CIP status for the year 2022

State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu today said the Ministry of Commerce is working to promote export trade.

"According to the instructions of the Prime Minister, priority is being given to leather, jute, tea and pharmaceutical sectors to increase export products," he said.

Titu said this while speaking as the chief guest at the CIP (commercially important person) cards for the year 2022 distribution function at a hotel in the city, said a press release.

A total of 184 businesspersons have been honoured with CIP status for the year 2022.

The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), under the commerce ministry, organised the event.

Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Tapan Kanti Ghosh, among others, spoke on the occasion.
