The reform process will continue through discussions with political parties, stated Ali Riaz, vice president of the National Consensus Commission, on Thursday (20 March) at an event in the capital.
Addressing the gathering, Ali Riaz emphasised that the National Consensus Commission is under no external pressure regarding the reforms.
"We are simply carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to us," he said.
He further assured that the dialogue with political parties would persist, even during the upcoming holidays.
"We will continue engaging with political parties, including addressing areas of disagreement. National consensus will be achieved through sustained discussions," he added.
Additionally, Ali Riaz confirmed that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is expected to hold a meeting with the Consensus Commission within the next couple of days, as part of the ongoing dialogue process.
